silkscreen workshop

This project encompasses the graphic that I designed for a do-it-yourself summer camp for early elementary school aged kids, and the silkscreen workshop that I led to teach the children and their parents the process of creating a two-color silkscreen print. The graphic is inspired by explorations made in the day and night. The negative spaces between the lines very clearly resemble a sun rising in the sky. We all know children love to play and explore during the day. The lines around the sun were drawn to resemble the building of an observatory, representing the idea that explorations need not end when the sun goes down, our nighttime skies are full of opportunities for discovery.

This is the proposed graphic that I created.
